Thirst

Thirst

Thirst – How the word leaves you dry
Let me see it in your eyes
A single lonely tear may fall
To quench your thirst for now

Thirst – the morning dew is gone and long forgot
The sweat upon your brow is not
The tears I feel upon my face are lost
And the breeze it bears a deathly cost

Thirst – a land it cries for rain
The heavens shout and thunder but nothing falls
My people cry in hunger but no-one heeds their calls
A single tear falls on a clock
And time is stopped…………
A spring leaf is withered and brings the fall
The seasons gone apart and no rain falls
Become so dry those withered skins they have no shame
And even tears are dry with pain

Thirst – The wells have long since dried to dust
The bucket has long since lost its rust
The bones the marrow is long gone
And all the branches have shrivelled in the sun

Thirst – The tongue is thick and hard I cannot speak
The throat it cannot swallow its too weak
The eyes they are burned shut or open they are blind
Dead children crying for dry teats are ravaging my mind

Thirst – The darkness is forgot as is the night
And in that burning light we feel this spite
I cannot see but all I see is light
I am confused can this be right
My breath is now so slight
And so I released my will in a final fight
And far away a tear fills in an angels sight
It rolls as thunder with a holy might
And as it drops into the dust
Released is the doves flight as must

Thirst – The doves they fly and land
Despite the heat and dust and sand
They were called by nature to save your soul
But nature cannot do this all alone
And die they do for me and you
And so the sun blazes on
Unknowing angels raze this gun
& in their pleasure and their fun
The new age flames and we burn

Thirst – So if the angels will not serve
Dark and light be unified
All the earths undone
So Zion serve release it all
You cannot win this way so hear this call
Only the meek can inherit the peace
Only doves can live when you release
The battles won and starts inside your heart
All the angels stand together to protect humanity
And the earth, our dove stands with you despite our ignorant profanity

Thirst – The doves they fly in this light of mine
I am not quite dead I see them in my mind
My breath is held by angelic you
And now my love comes into view
We are together we are one and two

Thirst – Your/my passion holds me on and true
Your/my loins would melt inside for you
Despite my great desire who is beside I hear
No moisture can I make to make him/her welcome here

Thirst – I am just a white bleached bone
And I am a charcoal of wood
A lost pebble am I, stone
A dry seed so little understood
I wait patiently for good

Thirst - I am so parched for you sweetheart
My thoughts my heart my hopes apart
My tears my rain my hot bloods pain
My loins my sweat my daily bread
Is all gone dry I will be dead

Thirst – My will is gone it is no longer
I gave it up for something stronger
You broke me but my hope remains
That hidden spark I will retain
I live in the dry void again
