The Peace Charter a whole earth charter

For many years people have called for peace and I have dismissed their words as idealistic and weak. This is not necessarily so Peace comes from strength. I was weak not to see the strength in peace. I would be happy to die striving for a better planet and I can see that a better planet needs peace. Humanity is the least peaceful organism on earth and we make war with the earth and ourselves. Being at one with the earth is about being at one with yourself and your fellow man. This does not mean we have to be the same or even agree about everything, but we should celebrate our differences and share our experiences and wonder. I wrote this charter to create something we can all agree on even if we still see the need to fight for justice and truth.
Peace is on earth we just don’t always see it. The last few years have seen the lowest deaths through conflict since any time since the 2nd world war. The only people who are scared by this are arms traders, look to those who create conflicts and you will find arms traders. It takes two sides to make a war and I suggest we leave the arms traders to their own devices.

I believe everyone on earth can live in peace and I wish to see this come to pass

Being different is important and I celebrate difference

I am different but I am a necessary part of the earth

I wish to be less angry more compassionate and understand different views

I am a child of the universe and a global citizen

I wish to learn and grow as an individual as a part of my community and that of the living earth.

I wish to understand beauty and make it a part of my life

I revere life in all its forms and wish us to live in harmony

I will not seek to control but to provide positive choices to those around me

I will not seek to exploit but to share with my fellow human beings

We may differ but we are all the same too this is how it should be

I will not allow fear to control me, Good will and kindness is stronger than fear

I will not willingly serve ends, which undermine these principles

I am strong and my will is strong

I am not alone and never will be my will is with all others who agree with my principles

We are one.

And there’s nothing that can kill it
As we face our earthly fears
And together shed our tears
And create the new beginning
For the peace is wholly winning
